Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale has started a social media campaign to have his former boss (or are they still working together?) Nana Appiah Mensah, affectionately called NAM1 freed over his protracted case.
Earlier today, Friday-June 26, Menzgold boss Nana Appiah Mensah was arraigned before court and the after tense proceedings, he was granted bail to the sum of ₵1 billion, believed to be one of the biggest in Ghana’s court.
The bail comes with five sureties, three of which is to be justified. Making the case for bail, his lawyers led by Kwame Akuffo argued, their client is not flight risk despite being declared a wanted man by a court in 2018.
The embattled CEO of the defunct Menzgold has been charged with two counts of abetment to defraud by false pretence and two counts of abetment to carry out banking business without licence, contrary to Section 6 (1) of the Banks and Specialized Deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
Here’s what Wale shared earlier on his social media handle.
