What should u know about the international disability day
The international day of persons with disability is celebrated on Dec 3rd. It was established by the United Nations in 1992 to promote an understanding of disability issues, mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities and increase awareness of the benefits of integrating disabled persons into every aspect of life, including economic, political, social and cultural aspects.
The theme for 2023 international day of persons with disabilities is, (united an action to rescue and achieve the SDG’s for, with and by persons with disabilities). So there is the need to organise an awareness campaign to advocate for disability rights and create a more inclusive society and organise an inclusive community event to bring people of all abilities together to showcase their unique talents and abilities.
As we are about to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities in all spheres of life, Blind Shatta has to release his song title (me tes3 woa) on Monday 20th Nov, 2023, which talks about the ills against persons with disabilities in the society.
